The Tecnica Group develops and manufactures high-quality Blizzard and Nordica skis for the international market at its Ski Excellence Center in Mittersill, Austria. In addition to technical construction, design also plays a crucial role in this process.

CLOSE COLLABORATION TO ACHIEVE PERFECT SKI DESIGNS & PERFORMANCE
When developing the ink system Mara Tech SK, Marabu’s product management and R&D departments worked closely with the teams of the Ski Excellence Center from production, quality control, and R&D. A focus was on maximum print stability and brilliant colors. One example of this is the intense violet of the current Blizzard Firebird skis. At the same time, the ink system was developed to combine long mesh open time with fast drying. Mara Tech SK meets even the most demanding requirements for adhesion between the ski and the decorative film—for example, during cold storage tests.
Another advantage is that, using the Marabu ColorManager, Blizzard can define color formulations for selected shades early in the design process, allowing for precise planning of the subsequent implementation.
