OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

In line with applicable legislation, we uphold extremely high standards of health and safety in the workplace. We are committed to proactively safeguarding the health of our employees and users of our products.

  1. Legal compliance and continuous improvement: Responsibility for implementing and complying with relevant legal requirements, and for continuously improving occupational health and safety, lies with the Management Board, senior managers, and all employees.
  2. Occupational safety as a key management task: Supervisors and line managers must maintain a clean and safe working environment, and regularly instruct employees to do the same.
  3. Safety of plant and equipment: Potential hazards from plant and equipment must be eliminated through regular monitoring, maintenance, and repair.
  4. Use of hazardous raw materials: As a matter of conviction, we select our raw materials very carefully. We avoid the use of raw materials classified as special risk, with corresponding risk management requirements, where
technically possible. Where appropriate and feasible, we substitute special-risk raw materials with raw materials of significantly lower health risk.
  5. Personal protective equipment: Protective clothing must be worn in areas where deemed mandatory given the type of working environment and potential hazards.
  6. Office workplace: Office working environments are equipped with state-of-the-art screens, and ergonomic chairs and desks.
  7. Occupational safety committee: The occupational safety committee consists of employee representatives, the company physician, safety officers, and members of the HR department staff. They assess current safety issues and developments, and decide on suitable measures for improving overall safety.
  8. Plant inspections and risk assessments: We regularly perform plant inspections to assess potential hazards and to ensure the implementation of safety policies.
