Ultra Glass UVGL is a UV-curing screen printing ink for drinking glasses, bottles, flacons, and flat glass for indoor use. Unlike ceramic inks, it does not need to be dried in an oven. UV curing saves time, space, and energy.

High reactivity with UV light enables fast printing speeds and excellent dishwasher resistance
No oven drying necessary thanks to UV drying. This saves time, space, and energy compared to ceramic baking inks

Ink adjustment:

Stir thoroughly to ensure homogeneous mixing
2-component ink, mix hardener thoroughly
Do not process below 15 °C
Avoid exposure to high humidity after printing
Let the mixture rest for 15 min before use
Pot life: 8 h at 20-25 °C and 45-60 % RH

Recommendations for hardener addition:

2 % UV-HV 8: 922-962, 980, 180, 425-485, 904, 910, UVGL-WV

4 % UV-HV 8: 970, 170, 122-162, 188, 913, 914, UVGL-PG/PS, UVGL-RH/RL

Color mixtures containing > 50 % White or High opaque shades

5 % UV-HV 8: Metallics (incl. UVGL 291)

Attention: UVGL 291, UVGL-WV are silicone-free!

Absolute cleanliness required for stencils, squeegees, ink pumps, tubes and injectors
Manual follow-up cleaning with silicone-free cleaner after automatic washing
Watch out for adhesive tapes - some contain silicone-based release agents

Drying:

UV curing: 180-240 W/cm
Belt speed standard shades: 4800 passes/h resp. 20 m/min
Belt speed UVGL 170, Etch imitations, High-opaque shades, Metallics, Primers: 3600 passes/h or 12 m/min
Post-curing within 24 h
Cure waste prints completely

Printing parameters:

Mesh: 120-34 to 165-27.

4-color process printing: 150-27 to 180-27

Stencils: Capillary films (15–20 µm) or emulsions and combination stencils.

UVGL-RH/RL:

Mesh: 48-55 to 55-70, squeegee: 75 shore.

Flood blade recommended.
