- Only paint on dry, dust-free, and grease-free surfaces, or on fabrics that are free of finishes and fabric softeners.
- Thoroughly cover the work area.
- Test the Pluster Pen's flow on a separate sheet of paper first.
- Allow the painted color to dry flat for at least six hours.
- Foam the Pluster Pen using a powerful hair dryer on the highest setting or in a preheated oven at 150°C until it appears matte and raised. The duration is approximately 2-15 minutes. (depending on the paint application and surface). Check the painting surface for heat resistance beforehand!
- You can also iron paintings on fabrics to make them foam. Place a soft towel on an ironing board. Place the painted side of the Pluster Pen on the towel. Place a cloth over the textile. Iron each painted area at the cotton temperature setting without pressure for approximately two to three minutes, until the Pluster Pen foams to a matte, relief-like finish.
- Alternatively, you can fix painted textiles in the oven. See above for instructions (except for synthetics and blended fabrics).
- . Clean used tools with water.
- Provides optimal adhesion to dry, dust-free, and grease-free surfaces.
- Pre-wash fabrics without using fabric softener.
- Apply the paint generously and lightly press the tip into the fabric.
- The thicker the paint application, the stronger the puff effect and the longer the drying time (at least six hours).
- If the tip becomes clogged: Twist off the tip and use a pointed object (e.g., a needle) to remove paint residue from the inside out.
- Wash painted textiles inside out (or in a laundry bag) at up to 40°C with mild detergent and a low spin cycle. Iron them inside out.
- Wear old clothes or a painting smock.
- Immediately wash stains and tools with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
