SQUEEGEE ART

SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS SQUEEGEE ART?

SQUEEGEE ART is a modern, playful painting technique in which paint is pulled across a surface using a squeegee or rubber blade. This creates dynamic colour gradients, abstract patterns and surprising textures.

The combination of planning and chance ensures that each piece is unique, spontaneous and visually impressive.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS

Cover the work surface with paper.
Have your painting surface and cleaning cloth ready. It is best to work on a firm surface.
Test the Marabu Acryl Color liner on a neutral paper before use.
Then apply Marabu acrylic paint directly from the liner onto the painting surface.
Use the squeegee to draw the paint across the painting surface with pressure.
Wipe the squeegee clean.
Add further shades as desired. Impressive effects are created by layering the shades.
Close the liner after use and leave the colours to dry.
Use the Marabu Permanent Marker to further embellish, contour or label the dried artwork.
