  1. Scope of application

1.1     The following privacy statement applies to the use of the marabu-kreativ.de and marabu.de/kreativ website respectively. This website is a service provided by Marabu GmbH & Co. KG, Asperger Strasse 4, 71732 Tamm.

1.2     Marabu GmbH & Co. KG takes the protection of your personal data seriously, especially with regard to ensuring your right to privacy when processing and using this information. Personal data is collected, processed and used in accordance with the provisions of the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

  1. Automated collection and processing of data by the browser

2.1     As in the case of any website, our server automatically collects and temporarily stores the following data communicated by the browser to the server log files, unless you have deactivated this function:

–             the IP address of the requesting computer

–             the file request of the client

–             the HTTP response code

–             the website from which you are visiting us (referrer URL),

–             the time of the server inquiry

–             the browser type and version

–             the operating system used by the requesting computer

No personal evaluation of the log files will be carried out. The provider cannot allocate this data to any particular user at any time. The data is not combined with other sources of data.

2.2     With the exception of the IP address, the data mentioned in Clause 2.1 is also collected and processed by an additional programme for statistical evaluation. The statistical evaluation is intended to optimise our advertising activities, market research and demand-oriented design of our internet services. No personal data is stored during the interpretation process. The data collected is used to create anonymous user profiles. Cookies (For general information, see Clause 5) may be used for this purpose. The data collected from the statistical programme cannot be used to identify users of the website personally because the statistical data is not combined with personal data.

2.3     This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files saved on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. In case of activation of IP anonymisation on this website, Google will, however, truncate your IP address beforehand within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this website, compile reports on website activity and provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.   1. Collecting and processing of data which is shared voluntarily

3.1     If you provide us with personal data by e-mail or via our website (surname, first name, e-mail address, postal address), this is generally done on a voluntary basis. This data is used to perform the contractual relationship, to process your requests and orders, to conduct our own market or opinion research, and for our own advertising by post and e-mail. It is not used for any other purposes; in particular, no data is passed on to third parties for advertising, market or opinion research. When using an internet payment service (e.g. PayPal, sofortueberweisung.de). your data will be passed on to process the payment.

3.2     If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we require your e-mail address and you may choose whether to provide us with your name, or not. This data is used for communication with you as part of the newspaper which we offer. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree that we may store the aforementioned data for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The data is not used for any other purposes. You may revoke your consent for the future at any time. You may withdraw your consent by changing the newsletter preferences in your user account.

  1. Passing on information to third parties

4.1     If you have provided us with personal data, this is generally not be forwarded to third parties. The data is only forwarded

–          with your express consent (see Clause 3.2).

–          to process your requests, your orders and the use of our services to authorised subcontractors, who will be sent the necessary data only to carry out this mandate and will use it for this purpose only.

–          in accordance with the processing of data under the provisions of the § German Federal Data Protection Act (BGSG) for service providers or

–          as part of meeting legal obligations to the relevant authorities.

4.2     Social plugins are used on this website. Social plugins are web applications which connect this website with selected social networks. However, social plugins are not directly integrated into the website. They must be activated by an additional click for the first time. Only with this activation is a connection set up with the social network, independent of whether you actually click on the social plugin, or not. Through this connection, your IP address and the user data of the respective social network may be transmitted to the latter. Please refer to Clause 6 for details on the inserted social plugins.

  1. Cookies

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored locally in your browser’s cache. Cookies primarily serve the purpose of recognising the internet browser. Cookies are used for statistical evaluation and session control. These cookies do not contain any kind of personal data. If you choose to log into the website automatically, your login details (e-mail address and password) will be saved in another cookie on your computer. You may configure your browser so that it will not accept cookies on your hard disk and/or so that stored cookies are deleted. This happens independent of whether you click on the Facebook plugin or not. We have no influence over the volume of data that Facebook collects in this manner. To our current knowledge, it includes the following data:

  2. the data which is generally transmitted by your browser (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time),
  3. in the case of registered and logged-in Facebook users, the respective Facebook user ID.

This takes place independent of whether you click the Pin it button in a second step, or not. marabu has no influence on the volume of the data that Pinterest collects in this manner. To our current knowledge, the following data in particular is used to display the Pin it button:

  2. the data which is generally transmitted by your browser (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time),
  3. in the case of registered and logged-in Pinterest users, their Pinterest user ID.

The Pin it button may also be hidden by the browser add-ons so that no data collection by Pinterest takes place.

 

6.5       YouTube

We use the video services of YouTube. LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”) to display our videos.

If YouTube videos are directly integrated into our website, the content of the embedded YouTube video is transmitted directly to your browser. At the same time, certain data from your browser is transmitted to YouTube. This happens independent of whether you click on the video, or not. We have no influence on the volume of the data that YouTube collects in this manner. To our current knowledge, the following data in particular is used to display the embedded YouTube videos:

  1. the visited page on our website which contains the video,
  2. the data which is generally transmitted by your browser (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time),
  3. in the case of registered and logged-in YouTube or Google users, their Google user ID.

Embedded YouTube videos may also be hidden by the browser add-ons so that no data collection by YouTube takes place.

Upon written request or by e-mail, we will be pleased to inform you, free of charge, about the personal data received and stored about you within the framework of our website.
