Painted porcelain mugs
Have you got a nice set of matching mugs? If not, why not paint your own! With porcelain paint and different techniques it is really easy and always a great success. Create your very own mug collection.
How it is done:
Clean the mug thoroughly before painting to ensure it is free from dust and grease for best possible adhesion of the paint.
Use different Porcelain colours and a flat brush to apply wide stripes to the mug or use a stencilling sponge to dab on stripes. Use masking tape to keep certain areas white.
When the paint has dried (approx. 30 minutes), different designs can be applied to these areas, e.g. coloured dots or patterns and lines applied with Relief Paste.
The Marabu Mini Stamp can be used with the porcelain paint to create lovely designs on the mugs.
The painted objects will be ready for use after 3 days of drying time. The painted mugs are now fixed and can be washed in the dishwasher (max. 50°C).
